Watch The Mac Miller: A Celebration Of Life Concert

UPDATE: The full video of the concert has been taken down. Will update when it’s re-uploaded.

Last night Mac Miller’s life was celebrated at a benefit concert in Los Angeles.

The Greek Theater was full of emotions on Halloween night. People didn’t know whether they should be happy or sad, to dance or to cry. A bubblegum pink sky bled into a beautiful night and with it came performances from Dylan Reynolds. J.I.D., Njomza, Domo Genesis, Earl Sweatshirt, Action Bronson, Miguel, Ty Dolla $ign, Juicy J, Thundercat, Vince Staples, Anderson .Paak, Miguel, John Mayer, Schoolboy Q, SZA, Rae Sremmund, Chance The Rapper, and Travis Scott. It was incredible. Some highlights from the night include John Mayer’s cover of Mac Miller’s “Small Worlds” (and his jam sesh with Thundercat), Anderson .Paak performing “Tints” for what I believe to be the first time, and Vince Staples walking out Mac’s family with tears at the close of the show. There was also several video portions of the show which featured new footage of Mac Miller throughout his life, a compilation of videos dedicated to Mac Miller from the likes of Donald Glover, Tyler, The Creator, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, Aminé, Pusha T, and more, and a never before seen, portrait-mode video of Mac performing an unreleased song on the piano. The night ended with a slideshow of photos of Mac to the tune of “Best Day Ever” while Mac’s family and the majority of performers walked out on stage. The last thing to ring through the speaker system at the Celebration of Life was Mac Miller’s voice thanking everyone for coming.
