Bon Iver returns with “Hey, Ma” and “U”, featuring Moses Sumney.
It’s been three years since we last got new music from Bon Iver. Well, that was up until Saturday when Bon Iver closed their set at All Points East festival by playing two unreleased tracks over the PA as attendees exited. Fans were also directed to go check out a new website called “icommani” where yesterday morning Justin Vernon shared “Hey, Ma” and “U” along with a note that read “This project began with a single person, but throughout the last 11 years, the identity of Bon Iver has bloomed and can only be defined by the faces in the ever growing family we are.” Additional collaborators for the songs included The National’s Bryan Dresser, Bruce Hornsby, Jenn Wasner, Elsa Jensen, Psymun, Phil Cook, and the Brooklyn Youth Chorus. A press release for the songs also listed that they would appear on the new Bon Iver album without listing anymore information beyond that.
Along with the new tracks came an expansion of the current tour, adding new dates on the east and west coast. See the full list of tour dates below and find “Hey, Ma” and “U” on our Tasty! Jams playlists for June.
