Mac Miller & Sia Feature On New 88-Keys Song "That's Life"

Mac Miller & Sia Feature On Beautiful New 88-Keys Song “That’s Life”

88-Keys first new song in eight years.

A week after we got the first bit of “officially released” Mac Miller since his untimely passing we’ve been gifted with the strikingly beautiful “That’s Life.” The song marks the producer 88-Keys first solo release in eight years and also features some vocal contributions from Sia. If the song sounds familiar at all that’s most likely because you were lucky enough to be able to steal a listen to the leaked version of the track, “Benji The Dog,” that popped up online about a month ago and was subsequently scrubbed. from the Internet. This time around we don’t just get a verse from Mac, like on the Free Nationals “Time”, “That’s Life” is a completely led by Miller and he sings the heart-wrenching chorus as well, singing “Everybody live a little, everybody die / That’s life, whatchu gonna do?”

88-Keys spoke a bit about the track, saying, “‘That’s Life’ is a song which sums up the sentiments of the music I’ve been working on over the past few years. We all have to forge through the good, the bad and the ugly. Mac came up with the concept for the song stemming from a conversation we had in the studio about relationships as we shared with each other what made the ones we were in at the time special. I played the song for Sia and she personally identified with the sentiments of the song and felt strongly about contributing her own thoughts on the subject matter. At the end of it all, my dear friend Mac and my new found friend Sia helped me make a song to touch the world and help many deal with adversities we’re faced with, but ‘That’s Life.'”

You can find “That’s Life” from 88-Keys, Mac Miller & Sia on our Tasty! Jams playlists.

Fresh Music Friday: Schoolboy Q, Anderson .Paak, LSD, josh pan, Johan, & More

March on.

Can you believe we’re halfway through March already? It seems like just yesterday that I was preparing my Best Albums of 2018 list but, nonetheless, here we are! This week we had some dope new Tasty! Jams including “Numb Numb Juice” the new single from Schoolboy Q — his first new music in nearly three years. Anderson .Paak also gave us a taste of his new album Ventura, his second this year, and also revealed it will feature Smokey Robinson, Nate Dogg, and André 3000, among others.

That’s not it though — not even close. LSD, the collab from Sia, Diplo, and Labrinth, released a new single “No New Friends” after announcing yesterday that their debut album would be out on April 12th and josh pan & Dylan Brady released their joint album This Car Needs Some Wheels featuring the already certified Tasty! Jam “Wheels” and the now newly certified “Revolution.” Johan got me feeling high with his new single “i don’t do drugs anymore” and Patawawa picked it up the vibes with “All The Time.” New Jersey singer-producer Ocean Heights had us feeling “Kinda Love” with his new one but we can’t forget about All The Rest and their explosive new jam “Sleeping With The Lights On.”

See all of these Tasty! Jams below and find them all on our Tasty! Jams playlists for March.

The Tasty! Jams From August

August was just awesome.

The month started with a new release from Mura Masa and only got better from there. Pluko released his album this month, as did LUI HILL and Ben Khan. We also got some incredible EP’s from Cautious Clay, Jerry Folk and NEIL FRANCES. But that wasn’t it… Disclosure dropped 5 new songs, all in one week, the return of FARR, and new music from Louis The Child, warner case, Bajillionaire, Snugs, Goldwash, Slow Magic, and so many more.

Skinnydip really “Got Me… this one’s too easy. It’s a good song.

Washed Out and ROOSEVELT teamed up for this sweet jam.

And Thutmose and NoMBe went wild on “Sunburn”

Golwash froze us on this one.

Wafia is good. Really good.

Bajillionaire took it and ran on this.

cln kept building “Waiting For You” until it became nothing short of incredible.
